Pharmacological Effects
Ketotifen Fumarate exhibits both histamine H1 receptor antagonism and inhibition of the release of allergic reaction mediators. Its potent anti-allergic effects, coupled with a relatively long duration of action, make it particularly effective in preventing and treating various allergic conditions. It is more effective in preventing attacks of exogenous asthma than endogenous asthma.
