Bepotastine Besilate is a safe and effective antihistaminic drug widely used in the treatment of allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis and urticaria.
Basic Information:
English Name: Bepotastine Besilate
CAS Number: 190786-44-8
Molecular Formula: C27H31ClN2O6S
Molecular Weight: 547.06
Pharmacological Action:
Mechanism of Action: Bepotastine Besilate is a selective and orally active second-generation histamine H1 receptor antagonist. It inhibits the infiltration of eosinophils into inflammatory sites during allergic inflammation and suppresses the production of IL-5 by activated eosinophils.
Pharmacodynamics: This drug inhibits histamine-induced skin reactions, inhibits histamine-induced contraction of isolated smooth muscle in guinea pigs, and suppresses passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) in type I anaphylaxis models.
Indications:
Primarily used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, urticaria, and pruritus caused by skin diseases (including eczema, dermatitis, prurigo, and pruritus).
Research is also exploring its application in allergic conjunctivitis and other diseases.
