Indications
Levothyroxine Sodium is primarily used for the treatment of the following conditions:
Hypothyroidism: Including congenital and various other causes of hypothyroidism, for long-term replacement therapy.
Simple goiter: Especially in patients with euthyroid goiter.
Hashimoto's thyroiditis: Replacement therapy for chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis.
Suppression and replacement therapy after thyroid cancer surgery.
Adjunctive therapy for hyperthyroidism: When used in combination with antithyroid drugs when thyroid function is normalized.
Thyroid suppression test: For the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism.
