Metaraminol Bitartrate is an α-adrenoceptor agonist that primarily acts on α-receptors with weaker effects on β1-receptors. It exerts its pharmacological effects by promoting the release of norepinephrine from sympathetic nerve endings. This drug is suitable for the adjuvant symptomatic treatment of hypotension occurring in the early stages of shock, as well as for the prevention and treatment of acute hypotension during spinal block anesthesia.
Indications
For the adjuvant symptomatic treatment of hypotension caused by hemorrhage, drug allergies, surgical complications, and cerebral trauma or cerebral tumors.
It can also be used in the treatment of cardiogenic shock or hypotension caused by sepsis.
Storage Conditions
Metaraminol Bitartrate should be stored at 2-8°C in a sealed container to prevent moisture and deterioration.
