Applications

• Medical Use: Lacidipine is a potent calcium antagonist used primarily in the treatment of hypertension. It acts predominantly on the calcium ion channels of vascular smooth muscle, causing dilation of peripheral arteries and reducing peripheral vascular resistance, thereby lowering blood pressure. Lacidipine's hypotensive effect can be enhanced when used concurrently with other antihypertensive agents such as diuretics and beta-blockers.
