pH Value: 6.5-8.0
Uses:
Gadopentetate dimeglumine is primarily used as a contrast agent in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to aid in the diagnosis of suspected brain (spinal) meningiomas, (acoustic) neurinomas, invasive tumors (such as gliomas), and metastatic tumors. It can visualize smaller and/or iso-signal tumors, recurrent tumors after surgery or radiotherapy, differentiate rare tumors such as hemangioblastomas, ependymomas, and pituitary microadenomas, further determine the extent of non-brain-derived tumor spread, and distinguish intraspinal from extraspinal tumors in spinal MRI.
