Ketorolac Tromethamine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a non-selective COX inhibitor (inhibiting both COX-1 and COX-2), possessing analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and platelet aggregation inhibitory effects.
Basic Information
English Name: Ketorolac Tromethamine
CAS Number: 74103-07-4
Chemical Structure: C15H13NO3·C4H11NO3

Pharmacological Action
Ketorolac Tromethamine exerts its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic actions by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes involved in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Its analgesic potency is comparable to aspirin, and its intramuscular injection provides analgesia similar to moderate doses of morphine, but without respiratory depression or addiction potential.
