Pharmacological Action
Betamethasone Disodium Phosphate exhibits significant anti-inflammatory effects by reducing the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines and promoting the polarization of M1 to M2 macrophages, thereby alleviating and preventing the tissue's response to inflammation. Its anti-inflammatory potency is stronger than that of dexamethasone, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, and others. It can eliminate fever, redness, and swelling caused by local non-infectious inflammation.
Indications
This drug is suitable for the treatment of skin diseases such as eczema, contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, solar dermatitis, and senile pruritus.
It has also been studied in the context of keloids and rheumatoid arthritis.
