Chemical Properties
Tazobactam Sodium is a β-lactamase inhibitor antibiotic with irreversible competitive inhibition characteristics.
It inhibits penicillinase produced by Staphylococcus aureus, plasmid-mediated β-lactamases produced by Gram-negative bacilli, and chromosomal β-lactamases produced by Proteus, Bacteroides, and Klebsiella species.
