Uses and Characteristics
Nintedanib is a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor used primarily in anti-cancer therapy. It inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR), and platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), thereby blocking angiogenesis and proliferation of tumor cells.
This drug is used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and certain types of lung cancer, such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
