Properties: Dupilumab is a fully humanized monoclonal antibody presented as a colorless to yellowish liquid. It targets IL-4RA (Interleukin-4 receptor alpha subunit) and inhibits signaling by IL-4 and IL-13 through binding to the IL-4 receptor.
Uses: Dupilumab is the first biological agent approved by the FDA for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It is used to treat moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) in patients aged 12 and older. It provides rapid and durable improvement in skin lesions and pruritus (itching) symptoms in atopic dermatitis patients. Additionally, Dupilumab has shown efficacy in the treatment of asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
