Pharmacological Action
Posaconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent belonging to the triazole class. It exerts its antifungal activity by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, which is crucial for maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of fungal cell membranes.
